More About Arnold S. Breitbart, MD, FACS
Arnold S. Breitbart, MD, FACS, completed an undergraduate degree with high honors at Princeton University and a medical degree at New York University School of Medicine. He continued his education with general and plastic surgery residencies at New York University Medical Center, where he also performed a craniofacial surgery fellowship. In addition, Dr. Breitbart performed a microsurgery and breast reconstruction fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Cornell University Weill Medical College. Dr. Breitbart has lectured at more than 50 national and international plastic surgery conferences and has written more than 40 published journal articles. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Plastic Surgery Research Council, the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Nassau Surgical Society and the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.
Despite a busy professional life, Dr. Breitbart has devoted himself to numerous charitable causes. As a marathon runner, he has raised money for various causes, including the American Diabetes Association, Hurricane Katrina Relief, Livestrong and burn victim treatment. Dr. Breitbart has also donated his services to charitable organizations that provide reconstructive surgery for needy children.
